Girl can Jam

Last night Abigail figured out how to get music playing on my iPod. She carried it around with her like her own personal boom-box. She'd hold it on her shoulder or hold it up to her ear. It was really funny.

Creative

Abigail is getting creative with finding ways to stay busy while I cook dinner. She tears through the tupperware spreading it all over the kitchen in no time at all. She has found that the measuring cups are fun to bang together... for a few minutes. But yesterday, she realized that the bottom drawer is easy to open, easy to empty, and REALLY fun to climb inside.

In fact, last night she climbed in, and I couldn't find her anywhere.

Mother of the Year

I just bought Abigail's Halloween Costume.

And I am 100% sure, that it was made for a baby.

I know... I've come a long way in these short few months.

Must Haves

Everything she just can't live without.

Baby Quilt... Check

These are all the things that you MUST have together for Abigail to go to sleep. The only exception is the teddy bear. It's an added bonus, but not always completely necessary. The best part about it is... She also has to round them all up after the nap like she is doing here. She makes sure they are all present and accounted for, and then has to make the toughest decision of her day. Does she want to hold onto all the toys... or reach up for mom??

Going Private??

Ok, I can't help but notice the sudden increase of people making their blogs private. Am I just ignorant? Is there a reason for the increase? What should I know? Zoo

Last week we went to the zoo for the first time with Abigail. She really liked it! She LOVED watching all the animals in the water. The harbor seals and the walrus were a big hit. This girl just loves everything about water.

This was a BIG mama walrus. His name was ET, and he weighed over 3000 lbs.

And I thought I had a big butt...

She was really excited about all the activity going on in the water. We had to hold on tight so she wouldn't just dive right in!

Bookworm

Abigail loves looking at books. She'll bring me one after another and say "more" until I read it to her. She keeps herself pretty entertained just flipping through them by herself.

This is how I found her the other day. She had pulled books off the book shelf and formed a circle of books around herself. She was just "reading" one and then moving on to the next in her battalion of books.

I can't tell you how many times I have read "There's a Wocket in My Pocket" since she got it for her birthday. Charles and I find ourselves quoting it all the time. Anytime we see a bofa on the sofa or a geeling on the ceiling...

Subtle Hints

I'm not sure what to think about this...

But I think this little girl might be missing Mimi and Pops

And maybe a few aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Big Milestone...

Yesterday, we bought Abigail her first pair of Nikes.

And she is STYLIN.

We found them and put them on her and she could stand SO much better in these. She is quite fond of them. When ever I go to take them off, she takes off from me. They are the first pair of shoes she will keep on her feet, and since fall is well on its way, and she is going to be walking any day now- I thought she NEEDED them.

When did my baby grow up on me?

Thank you Nike for making shoes that fit on her tiny, chubby little feet.

This one we tried to capture her reaction to one of her favorite things to do. She LOVES starfall.com. It is a website that teaches phonics and reading. One of her favorites is the letter "d" and the dancing doll. Her is a glimpse at her reaction.
